SEO Contest Everywhere

As the international SEO competition concluded successfully already, different local SEO competition started this month. Indonesia, under Pogung’s initiative, already started their local competition. In our province, the pioneer in SEO industry also announced a provincial competition. It is an interschool SEO contest involving teachers and students from different colleges in Capiz. The target key phrase in Google is “Hectic Capiznon Bloggers 2009.”  Don’t ask me what’s the meaning of this phrase or its significance to the Capiz blogging comunity, I honestly don’t know. What I know is the purpose involved and the mission and vision stated by the challenge. I am joining it but I don’t think I can handle the regular SEO activity for it since majority of my time are focused on my project.

However, the pressure is still there, since I am working in a school / college and since it is an interschool, I feel I am obliged to win. I don’t know how I could manage to do this but I will try it on my free time. What can I do now is I am planning to support entries from my school so that my collegues and students win this skills competition in the world of search engine optimization. Asia is really one of the greatest source skillful SEO practitioners in the world. It is shown during the world cup, it is because the top winners are from countries of Asia. These different SEO contests only shows that SEO community in Asia are really active to this kind of industry.
